Managing notification apps in the RingCentral app

You can view and manage your notification apps in the RingCentral app. 

Viewing apps

You can view the apps that are available for integration via the Discover apps tab in the Apps menu. This tab displays different sections for the various types of apps:
  • Home: Displays all the apps you can use with RingCentral.
  • New & Noteworthy: Shows recently added apps.
  • Essentials: Shows the most popular apps that you can integrate with RingCentral.
  • Add-ins: Discover add-ins that enhance your team messaging experience and help you get more work done without leaving the app.
  • Works with Google: Shows the Google apps that work with RingCentral.
  • Microsoft Apps:  Shows the Microsoft apps that you can use together with RingCentral.
There are two ways to view the apps you've integrated in the RingCentral app. You can either view the app in a conversation via the conversation details panel or via  via the Installed apps tab in the Apps menu.

Viewing integrated apps in the conversation details

The Apps tab in the conversation details contains a list of the apps you have integrated in that conversation. 
  1. Go to Message via the side menu bar.
  2. Select a conversation in the left pane where the app was integrated.
  3. Click the More icon in the conversation details panel on the right pane and click Apps from the dropdown menu.
The list of apps appears in alphabetical order with the name of the user who added the app to the conversation.

Viewing integrated apps in the Apps interface

The Installed apps tab in the Apps interface contains all the apps that you have integrated with the RingCentral app. Navigate to Apps via the left menu bar and then select the Installed apps tab on the left pane to view a list of your integrated apps.

The list of apps appears on the right pane in alphabetical order with the conversation name or team name beneath the name of the app.

Finding an app in the Apps interface

The Apps interface makes it easier to discover an app through filtering search. The search bar helps you find out if an app is available for integration or has already been integrated in the RingCentral app.
  1. Navigate to Apps via the side menu bar.
  2. Click on the Discover apps or Products tab on the left pane and click on any sections if you’d like to search for available apps
    OR
    Click on Installed apps on the left pane if you’d like to search for an app that has been integrated.
  3. Scroll through the list to view.

Enabling and disabling an app

You can disable an app that you have integrated with the RingCentral app to temporarily stop receiving notifications from that app. To start receiving notifications again, you can re-enable it.

  1. Navigate to Message via the side menu bar.
  2. Select the conversation on the left pane where the app was integrated.
  3. Click the More icon in the conversation details panel on the right pane and click Apps from the dropdown menu.
  4. Hover over the app that you’d like to enable or disable.
  5. Click the toggle bar to enable or disable the app.

  1. Go to Apps via the side menu bar.
  2. Click Installed apps on the left pane.
  3. Browse through the apps list or use the search bar to find the app that you’d like to enable or disable.
  4. Hover over the app and click the toggle bar at the far right to enable or disable the app.

Deleting an app

  1.   Go to Message via the side menu bar.  
  2. Select the conversation on the left pane where the app was integrated.
  3. Click the More icon in the conversation details panel on the right pane and click Apps from the dropdown menu.
  4. Hover over the app that you’d like to delete.
  5. Click the More icon and click Remove from the dropdown menu.
  1. Click Remove on the Remove app? window.

  1. Go to Apps via the side menu bar.
  2. Select Installed apps on the left pane.
  3. Browse through the apps list or use the search bar to find the app that you’d like to delete.
  4. Hover over the app and click the Remove trash can icon at the far right.
  5. Click Remove on the Remove app? Window.
