Setting message notification preferences in the RingCentral mobile app

​​In the RingCentral app, you can configure message notifications for a specific conversation with a user or team. The settings you customize in the desktop and web app will also apply to your RingCentral mobile app.

  1. Sign in to the RingCentral mobile app. 
  2. Go to Message in the bottom menu.
  3. Select a conversation.
  4. Tap the user or team name at the top.

  1. Select the gear icon at the top right corner, then set your notification options:
    • Mute: Slide the toggle to mute mobile and email notifications. You can also mute a conversation by swiping left on a conversation (iOS) or long press (Android), then tapping the More icon > Mute conversation
    • Mobile notifications: If the Mute toggle is off, slide it to disable mobile notifications.
    • Email notifications: If the Mute toggle is off, slide it to disable email notifications.
