With the Heads-up display (HUD) feature in the RingCentral desktop and web app, you can place calls on behalf of other users.
Note:
To place a call on behalf of another user, that user must
turn on delegate permissions
.
To use the HUD feature, you need to turn on the HUD feature. Learn more about
enabling the HUD in the RingCentral desktop and web app

Calling on behalf of another user from the new Phone menu
If you’re using the new Phone experience, read
Navigating the new Phone interface in the RingCentral app
.
In the left navigation bar, click
Phone
.
In the left panel, click the
HUD
tab.
Hover over the user extension you want to call on behalf of, then click
Call on behalf
. This will open the
New Call
dialer window.
Enter the number you want to call.
Click the
Call
button.

In the left navigation bar, click

In the left panel, under
HUD
, click the
Extensions
tab.
Hover over the user extension you want to call on behalf of, then click
Call on behalf
. This will open the
New Call
dialer window.
Enter the number you want to call.
Click the call button.
