Notifying group members about parked calls in the RingCentral desktop and web app

When you’ve parked a call to your private park location group, you can notify other group members with a message in the RingCentral app. Learn more about parking and retrieving calls in the RingCentral app.
 
Note: Before you can park calls or view parked calls, you’ll need to turn on your Heads-up display. Learn how to turn on RingCentral’s HUD feature.

Notifying park location group members during a live call

  1. To notify group members of a parked call during a live call, click the three-dot More icon, then select Park.

  1. Hover over the park location where you want to park the call, then click the Park current call and send message icon.

  1. In the Notify by message window, enter the names or email addresses (separated by commas or semicolons) of the park location group members you want to notify.
  2. The notification message is pre-filled with the caller’s number, name of the park location group, and a link that other members can use to pick up the call. You can enter any additional info in the message field.
  3. Click Send.

Notifying park location group members using the HUD

  1. To notify group members of a parked call using the HUD, go to Phone in the left navigation bar.
  2. To access the HUD:
    • If you’re using the new Phone experience, click the HUD tab.
    • If you’re using the old Phone menu, go to the left pane. Under HUD, click the Park locations tab.
  3. If your HUD is in a Pop out window, click the Park locations tab. Hover over the park location group where the call is parked, then click the Notify by message icon.

  2. The notification message is pre-filled with the number of the caller, name of the park location group, and link that other members can use to pick up the call. You can enter any additional info in the message field.
  3. Click Send.

Notifying park location group members using a banner

Once you’ve parked a call in a park location group,  a green banner will appear at the top of the app window. To use the banner to notify park location group members about the parked call:
  1. Click the Notify by message icon in the banner.

  2. The notification message is pre-filled with the number of the caller, name of the park location group, and link that members can use to pick up the call. You can enter any additional info in the message field.
  3. Click Send.
