Setting up your voicemail greeting

When setting up your voicemail greeting, you can use the RingCentral default voicemail greeting or set up a custom one. 
Users can set up their own voicemail greeting, or an admin can set it up for them. 
  1. Visit the RingCentral support site.
  2. Click Login to sign in to MyRingCentral.

My voicemail
  1. Sign in to the Admin Portal. If you’re signed in as an admin, select My Extension.

  1. Go to Settings in the top menu bar.
  2. Expand Call Forwarding and Voicemail.
  3. Under Work Hours, scroll down to Missed Calls.
  4. From the dropdown menu, select Send to voicemail.

  1. Under Select voicemail box, select This Extension or Specific Extension
    • If you select Specific Extension, click Select Extension to pull up a list of available extensions. Select the extension.
  2. Click Done.
  3. Click Edit under Voicemail Greeting and select Default or Custom from the dropdown list. Default uses a generic greeting and Custom allows you to record or import a personalized greeting. To use a Custom greeting:
    • Phone: RingCentral will call you to record your greeting over the phone. 
    • Computer Microphone: Record your greeting by speaking into your computer’s microphone.
    • Importing: Upload an mp3 or wav audio file. 
  4. Click Done

Someone else's voicemail
  1. Sign in to the Admin Portal.
  2. Go to Users > Users with Extensions.
  3. Click on the user's name (don’t check the box next to the user’s name).

  2. Under Work Hours, scroll down to Missed Calls
  3. From the dropdown list, select Send to voicemail

  5. Click Done.
