Using the HUD in the RingCentral app desktop and
web | RingCentral app 

The head-up display (HUD) in the RingCentral app provides you with advanced phone functionality and keeps your frequently used extension list at your fingertips. The HUD also lets you see user extensions in real-time whether they are available or engaged in a call.

Navigating the HUD interface

The HUD interface contains the following navigation tabs:
  • Extensions: View user extensions.
  • Delegated calls: View delegated calls.
  • Conference rooms: Join or make a conference call.
  • Parked calls: View parked calls.
Note: By default, only the Delegated calls category is displayed. The other categories require admin set up. Contact customer support to learn more.

Enabling View pop out

This displays the HUD on a stand-alone floating window for better access. You can pop out the HUD by clicking on the Pop out button at the top or the right side of the HUD tab in the Phone menu. You can pop in the HUD by clicking on the Pop in button at the top right of the pop out window.
