You can set up your video meeting settings so that your participants can't joining before you.

When this feature is enabled, participants will get the notification 'Waiting for host' when joining the meeting before the host.

Select where you want to enable this feature.

## Desktop & web

Preventing others from joining before host on your desktop and web app
----------------------------------------------------------------------

### Turning on Participants can only join after me via Personal Meeting ID

* Go to **Settings** via the left navigation bar.
* Select **Video**.
* Click **Edit** at far right of **Personal Meeting ID** .

* Under **Personal meeting settings** , check the box **Participants can only join after host** .

* Click **Save**.

### Turning on Participants can only join after me for scheduled meetings

* Go to **<var class="keyword">
  <div style="display: inline;">
  Video
  </div></var>** in the navigation bar.
* Click the **Schedule** button.

* Under **Meeting settings** , check the box **Participants can only join after host** .

* Configure other meeting settings and click **Schedule**.

## Mobile

Preventing others from joining before the host on the mobile app
----------------------------------------------------------------

### Turning on Participants can only join after me via the Video menu

* Go to **<var class="keyword">
  <div style="display: inline;">
  Video
  </div></var>** in the bottom menu bar.
* Tap the More icon at the top right corner and select *Video meeting settings*.
* Tap **Personal Meeting**.
* Click to turn on **Participants can only join after me**.

### Turning on Participants can only join after me via Personal Meeting ID settings

* Go to **<var class="keyword">
  <div style="display: inline;">
  Video
  </div></var>** in the bottom menu bar.
* Tap the **More** icon next to your Personal meeting ID at the upper right corner.
* Tap **Settings**.
* Toggle off **Participants can only join after me**.
