[End-to-end encryption (E2EE)](https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/Intro-to-end-to-end-encryption-for-RingCentral-Video.html?brand=RingCentral&product=RingEX&language=en_US "") is a privacy feature that protects your video meeting content by making it accessible only to meeting participants. When you use End-to-end encryption, your data is safe from all third parties, even if the <var class="keyword">
<div style="display: inline;">
RingCentral
</div></var> cloud is compromised. With End-to-end encryption, you can:

* Ensure that only your participants can access meeting content.
* Manage the confidentiality of your meeting's audio, video, chat, and screen-shares.
* Protect your meeting contents from all third parties, even service providers.
* Turn the feature on and off anytime during a meeting.

Anyone with a <var class="keyword">
<div style="display: inline;">
RingCentral
</div></var> account can join meetings protected by End-to-end encryption. However, only users who have paid accounts can initiate E2EE meetings.

Note: Users will not be able to join E2EE meetings by telephone (SIP/H.323 devices), as these devices do not support End-to-end encryption. You can also enable End-to-end encryption for your <var class="keyword">
