Video meetings

As a host or moderator, you can record
RingCentral
Video meetings to view or share with your coworkers.
Note: Only the meeting host can share the recording and transcript with other participants.

## Desktop & web
Recording video meetings in the desktop and web app
---------------------------------------------------
During a video meeting, click **Record** in the bottom menu bar. The elapsed recording time is shown at the bottom left or top right, depending on the size of the meeting window.
Note: You can also go to the [Video meetings settings in the Admin portal](https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/Configuring-your-company-RingCentral-Video-meeting-settings.html?brand=RingCentral&product=RingEX&language=en_US "") and turn on **Automatically start recording when hosts or moderators join meetings**. When you join a video meeting as a host or moderator, it will automatically start a recording.
Pausing, resuming, or ending a recording
----------------------------------------
### Pausing a recording
Click **Pause** in the bottom menu bar. This pauses the recording and allows you to resume at any time.
### Resuming recording
To resume the recording after pausing it, click **Resume** in the bottom menu bar. All recorded segments will be saved as one recording.
### Ending a recording
Click **Leave** in the bottom menu bar. This automatically stops the recording.
In the popup window, select **End meeting for everyone**.
Note: If you have [assigned another participant as a moderator](https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/Assigning-a-moderator-in-a-RingCentral-Video-meeting.html?brand=RingCentral&product=RingEX&language=en_US "") and you leave the meeting while it's recording, control of the recording will pass to the remaining moderator. Because you are the original host, however, the full recording will be saved to your **Recent recordings**.
Viewing recordings
------------------
After you have recorded a
RingCentral
Video meeting and the recording is processed, you can [view and manage the recording](https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/Viewing-and-managing-RingCentral-Video-meeting-recordings.html?brand=RingCentral&product=RingEX&language=en_US "").
Note: It may take about twice the length of the meeting for the recording to process. In some cases, like for meetings over an hour, it may take 24 hours.
To view a recording:
* In the navigation bar, click **
Video
**.
* **Recent recordings** shows a list of recent recordings. Click **See all** to access all of your recordings.
## Mobile
Recording video meetings in the mobile app

* During a video meeting, tap the three-dot **More** icon in the bottom menu bar.
Note: If the bottom menu bar isn't present, tap anywhere on the screen to make it appear.
* Tap **Start recording** .
The elapsed recording time is shown at the top right.
Pausing, resuming, or ending a recording
----------------------------------------
### Pausing a recording
To pause a recording, tap the three-dot **More** icon in the bottom menu bar, then tap **Pause**. You can resume the recording at any time.
### Resuming recording
When you resume the recording after pausing, all recorded segments will be saved as one recording. To resume after pausing:
* At the bottom of the screen, tap the three-dot **More** icon.
* In the popup, tap **Resume** .
### Ending a recording
To end the recording, you have two options:
* You can end the recording by tapping pause. At the bottom of the screen, tap the three-dot **More** icon, then tap **Pause**.
* You can also stop the recording by ending the meeting. To do so, tap **End** at the top right, then tap **End meeting for everyone** in the popup.
