You can select which camera to use before a <var class="keyword">

RingCentral
</div></var> Video meeting or while the meeting is in progress.

In the <var class="keyword">

</div></var> mobile app, <var class="keyword">

RingCentral
</div></var> Video will use the built-in camera on your device. You can flip to the front or rear camera during the meeting.

In the <var class="keyword">

</div></var> desktop and web app, you can select which camera to use in a <var class="keyword">

RingCentral
</div></var> Video meeting before or during a meeting. This can be your built-in camera or a third-party camera.

Selecting cameras before a meeting
----------------------------------

* In the <var class="keyword">
  <div style="display: inline;">
  RingCentral
  </div></var> desktop and web app, go to **Settings** in the navigation bar.
* Click **Video** in the left pane.
* Click the **Edit** button at the right of **Video meeting settings** .

* In the pop-up, click **Video** .

* Choose your preferred camera from the dropdown under the video preview.
* To close and save your settings, click the **x** in the upper right corner of the pop-up.

Selecting your camera during a meeting
--------------------------------------

* In a meeting, click the up-arrow next to the **Start/stop video** icon in the bottom menu bar.
* Select your preferred camera from the list.

* Click **Start video** .

Note: To test your video before starting it, click the 3-dot **More** icon. Click **Settings** , then **Video** to see a preview. Once you're done testing, close the window.

Troubleshooting tips for third-party cameras
--------------------------------------------

* Make sure your camera is plugged in and that any built-in privacy covers are removed.
* Make sure you select the right camera from Video settings.
* If you don't see the camera listed or if it's grayed out, check if the camera requires an update or is currently being used by another application, such as Skype. If this is the case:
  * Leave the meeting.
  * Turn off your camera in the other application or close the application entirely.
  * Join the meeting again.

    Note: If the camera still doesn't appear, test the camera in another application.
