Using the RingCentral for Google Workspace Add-on

The RingCentral for Google Workspace Add-on simplifies communication within your Google email and calendar. This add-on gives you easy access to seamlessly make calls, send texts, view communication history, and schedule meetings directly from Gmail or your Google Calendar.

Installing and launching the RingCentral Google Workspace Add-on
----------------------------------------------------------------

You can quickly install the [Google Workspace Add-on](https://www.ringcentral.com/apps/google-workspace-addon "") from the RingCentral app library. Admins can also [install the add-on](https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/6306504 "") for multiple users.

After the Google Workspace Add-on is installed:

* Access your Google email or calendar.
* Click the RingCentral icon on the side panel to open the add-on. If you have multiple add-ons installed, click the three-dot **More Add-ons** icon to locate the RingCentral Google Workspace Add-on.
* Click **Sign in** and enter your RingCentral credentials to launch the add-on.

  Note: First-time users need to click **Authorize access** to complete the authorization process.

Using the RingCentral for Google Workspace Add-on to schedule meetings
----------------------------------------------------------------------

After installing the add-on, you can create an event in Google Calendar and add RingCentral Video meeting details.

* Access your Google Calendar and create an event.
* Click the dropdown next to **Add Google Meet video conferencing** (a), then select **RingCentral Video Meeting** (b) to add a meeting link to the event.

* Click the RingCentral icon in the side panel to access the meeting settings:
  * **Use Personal Meeting ID**: Update the meeting link to use your personalized meeting ID.
  * **Mute audio for participants**: Mute meeting participants' audio when they join the meeting to minimize background noise.
  * **Turn off camera for participants**: Maintain privacy and reduce distractions.
  * **Use end-to-end encryption**: Protect your meeting with advanced security measures.
  * **Require password**: Add or change the password to access the meeting for an additional layer of protection.
  * **Participants can only join after me**: Control when participants can enter the meeting.
  * **Enable waiting room**: Place participants in a waiting room to manage meeting participation.
  * **Only authenticated users can join**: Only allow verified users access to join your meeting.
  * **Only host \& moderators can share screen**: Limit screen sharing capabilities to the host and assigned moderators.

* If any settings have been changed, click **Update Meeting** .
