Managing your company emergency response locations
==================================================

Emergency response locations (ERLs) combine a business location with a dispatchable address that emergency responders can use to find the caller. These addresses are used to route emergency responders when someone places an emergency call.

An ERL should identify a location where responders can reasonably reach the caller. You don't need to define locations down to individual desks or offices. For example, a small business can use its main address and suite number.

Consider these guidelines when defining an emergency response location:

* A small business location in a single office suite can map to one ERL.
* A medium-sized business occupying multiple floors in a building can define one ERL per floor.
* A large warehouse can be divided into quadrants with one ERL associated with each quadrant.

Emergency response locations with more granular location information can use both the address line 1 and line 2 fields: for example, 'BMT 20 First Floor': 20 Davis Dr, Floor 1, Belmont, CA 94019, USA'.
