Intro to the Adoption and Usage report
======================================

The Adoption and Usage report shows how your organization uses the calling, text (SMS), message, and video meetings features in <var class="keyword">
<div style="display: inline;">
RingEX
</div></var>. It helps you understand engagement, find areas where usage is low, and improve how your team adopts these tools.

Note  
Text messaging reporting is currently in beta testing and available for select customers. These metrics won't show data prior to April 1, 2026.

Access and recommended users
----------------------------

Admins and users with [permission to view analytics](https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/Permissions-List-and-Details.html?brand=RC_US&product=RingEX&language=en_US "") can access the Adoption and Usage reports. We recommend that individuals with the following roles have access to these reports:

* IT admins and leaders
* Change management leaders
* Executives
* People operations
* Department heads/leaders
* Business analysts

Viewing the Adoption and Usage report
-------------------------------------

You can [access the Adoption and Usage report](https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/Navigating-Adoption-Usage.html?brand=RingCentral&product=RingEX&language=en_US "") in the [<var class="keyword">

Analytics Portal
</div></var>](https://analytics.ringcentral.com "") and select a timeframe for assessing your organization's usage patterns. The presets display data for the selected timeframe, excluding the current day. For example, if you select **Last 7 Days** on a Tuesday, data will display from the previous Monday to Monday.

There are four pages within the report:

* **Overview**: An aggregated view of your organization's active users and usage across features. It provides a snapshot of the relative popularity and adoption across organizations and departments.
* **Message**: Key metrics, usage trends, and patterns for messaging.
* **Meetings**: Key metrics, usage trends, and patterns for meetings.
* **Phone**: Key metrics, usage trends, and patterns for phone calls.
* **Text (SMS)**: Key metrics, usage trends, and patterns for text messaging.

The Adoption and Usage report shows data within widgets on a dashboard. You can select which Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to view on the Message, Meetings, Phone, and Text (SMS) pages, in addition to the default widget data.
