Configuring contacts settings in RingCentral mobile app

You can easily connect your Microsoft, Google, and device contacts to the RingCentral mobile app. You can also set the default contact source you’d like to use when creating new personal contacts all in one place.

Configuring Contacts settings in the mobile app

The Contacts settings in the RingCentral mobile app contains four sections: Device contacts, Microsoft, Google,and Default new contact to. To access your Contacts settings in the mobile app, tap the menu icon at the top left, and then tap Contacts settings under Contacts.

1. Tap the menu icon at the top left.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Under Contacts, tap Contacts settings.
4. At the far right of Access device contacts, toggle the switch on to allow the mobile app to access your device contacts.

Adding personal contacts from Microsoft and Google accounts

You can have a two-way sync from your Microsoft and Google account contacts with the RingCentral mobile app. This will allow you to create, edit, or delete contacts from anywhere.

Connecting personal contacts from your Microsoft account

1. Tap the menu icon at the top left.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Under Contacts, tap Contacts settings.
4. Under Microsoft, tap Connect at the far right of Microsoft account.
5. On the Sign in to your account page, select or sign in to your Microsoft account.
6. Tap Accept to complete the sync.

Connecting personal contacts from your Google account

1. Tap the menu icon at the top left.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Under Contacts, tap Contacts settings.
4. Under Google, tap Connect at far right of Google account.
5. On the Sign in - Google Accounts page, select or sign in to your Google account, and then tap Allow.
6. Tap Allow to complete the sync.

Configuring Contacts settings

In the Contacts section, you can set the default contact source for creating a new contact:
1. Tap the menu icon at the top left.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Under Contacts, tap Contacts settings.
4. Tap Default new contact to. Select either RingCentral, Device contacts, Microsoft, Google, or Always ask.
Note: Microsoft and Google are only available as options if you’ve synced your Microsoft and Google contacts with the RingCentral mobile app. Also note that when you select RingCentral, the contacts you save from within the app will be saved to the Personal contacts page in the mobile app. When you select either Microsoft or Google, the contact you save will also be saved to your Microsoft or Google account.
