RingCentral Video: Enabling Overlay Mode

RingCentral Presentation modes

Keep your meeting participants engaged with Presentation modes. There are four options to choose from:
  • Overlay: Shows your video in front of your presentation.
  • Glassboard: Makes it look like you’re behind your presentation by making your video transparent. It works best with presentations that are consistent in color - mostly white or mostly dark.
  • Newsroom: Keeps your video to the side and your presentation next to you, like a newscaster.
  • Conference room: Makes it looks like you’re seated in an actual conference room with your presentation behind you.

Accessing Presentation modes

  1. If you’re in a meeting, click the More button on the bottom right of your screen.
If you’re outside a meeting, go to Video meeting settings in your app.
  2. Select Presentation mode.

Presentation tips

  • Before your meeting, practice using your selected Presentation mode with your presentation. You can change the position of your video in video settings to make sure it looks its best.
  • Be mindful of your hands. Keep them visible inside the video frame when using them to explain something.
  • Consider using a green or blue screen for a clean background. Learn more
