Setting message notification preferences in the 
RingCentral mobile app | RingCentral app

There are several ways to configure your notification preferences. One method for setting your notification preferences is in the Settings page in the RingCentral mobile app. In this page, you can configure general notification and sound preferences for the entire RingCentral app, for all messages, meetings, and phone calls.
 
However, there may be times where you would like to make changes to your notification preferences for a single conversation. For the purpose of this article, we’ll discuss how you can set your notification preferences for a single conversation.

Setting a conversation’s notification preferences

To set a conversation’s notification preferences, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the Message section of the app
2. Select a conversation from the conversation list
3. Tap the conversation’s name at the top
4. Select the gear icon in the top right corner
5. Under User settings, choose how you want to set the notifications (see below for options)
You can configure your desired setting for the following notification options:
  • Mute: Toggle on to mute mobile and email notifications
  • Mobile notifications: Toggle on to disable mobile notifications if the Mute toggle is off
  • Email notifications: Toggle on to disable email notifications if the Mute toggle is off
