Creating a free RingCentral app account

Even if you don’t have a RingCentral Office subscription, you can still sign up with the RingCentral app for free. With a free RingCentral app account, you can invite your co-workers and other people to sign up and use the app for messaging and team collaboration.
Creating a free RingCentral app account
You can create a free RingCentral app account by using either your email address or your Google account. Let’s review each of those methods below.
Creating a free account using your email address
To create a free account using your email address, follow these steps:
1. Launch the RingCentral app on your computer
OR
Navigate to app.ringcentral.com
2. Click on Create a free account
3. Enter your email address
4. Click Sign up to open a modal window asking you to confirm your email address
5. Open your email and confirm your account by clicking on the Confirm your email address button
6. Set up your account by filling out the fields with your company name, first and last name, and password
7. Click Create account
Creating a free account using your Google account
If you’d like to create a free account using your Google account, follow these steps:
1. Launch the RingCentral app on your computer
OR
Navigate to app.ringcentral.com
2. Click on Create a free accounthttp://app.ringcentral.com
3. Click on the Sign up with Google button to open a modal window
4. Sign in with your Google account using one of two methods provided below
If you have logged in before using your Google account credentials, select your Google account from the login page to log in automatically.
If this is your first time logging in, follow these steps to log in to your Google account:
1. Click Use another account on the sign in page
2. Enter your Google email address or phone number
3. Click the Next button
4. Enter your password
5. Click Next to navigate to a page requesting access to your Google account
6. Select Allow to finish signing in to the RingCentral app
After signing in to your Google account, a free account is created and you will be redirected to the RingCentral app welcome page. You will notice that the top header bar says New Company as your company name and your profile name is your email’s username. To update your company name, visit Changing your company name in the RingCentral app. To update your profile, visit Editing your profile in the RingCentral app desktop and web.
Please note that to create a free account, you can only use an email address or Google account that has not been used to sign up with a RingCentral Office account or RingCentral app account.
In addition, free accounts only have limited access to the functionalities of the RingCentral app. In a free account, you will only have access to Message, Contacts, and Settings.
