Adding a new user to the RingCentral mobile app

If you are an administrator on your company account or a user given the proper permissions, you will be able to add an unlimited number of contacts — that is, RingCentral app users — to your company account at any time. 
 
If you do not have the ability to invite a new user, this could be because your administrators have disabled this permission at the account level. If you feel you should have the ability to invite a new user, please reach out to an administrator on your company account. 
 
There are two ways to add new users to your company account, which are the following:
  • By sending a new message to a person outside of RingCentral
  • By inviting a person outside of RingCentral
For the purpose of this article, however, we’ll discuss one method for inviting new users to the RingCentral app: inviting new users via the Invite option in the Contacts menu.

Inviting new users

To invite new users to RingCentral, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to Contacts via the bottom bar.
2. Tap the new actions plus button at lower right.
3. Tap Invite.
4. Choose to send an invite in one of the following ways:

a. Send an invite to an email address by providing an email address in the To field.

b. Send an invite to someone in your mobile contacts via Invite from contacts.

c. Send an invite to the messaging app of your choice via Invite via link.

5. Configure the appropriate settings based on the option you selected in the previous step (more on that below).
When you choose one of the options under the Invite option, additional actions are required in order to successfully invite a user. Let’s review those options next.

Inviting users by email

If you chose to invite a user by email via the Invite option, follow these steps:
1. Type an email address in the To field.
2. Tap Next at the top right.
Please note: Insert a space after an email address to send an email invite to multiple email addresses (up to 20).

Inviting new users from your mobile device contacts

If you selected Invite from contacts via the Invite option, follow these steps:
1. Scroll and select the contacts, or filter by typing the contact’s name.
2. Tap Next in the top right corner.
Please note: You may select multiple contacts (up to 20).

Inviting new users by sharing a link

If you selected Invite via link from the Invite option, follow these steps:
1. Tap the Invite via link button.
2. Select a messaging or email app.
3. Locate and select the contact you’d like to send the invitation to.
