Sharing your status in the RingCentral mobile app

RingCentral app statuses allow you to communicate your activities to your co-workers and are completely customizable and specific about your activities.

For example, users can set their current status to Out sick if you’re sick and would like to indicate that you’re out of the office and potentially unreachable for that day.

Sharing your status

1. Tap your profile menu (for iOS) or the menu icon (for Android) at top left.
2. Tap Share status under your profile picture.
3. Select one of the premade statuses from the list, or provide your own status via the Share custom status field.
4. Tap the checkmark at the top right corner.

Clearing your status

If you shared your status and would like to clear it in the mobile app, you can do so by following these steps:
1. Tap the menu icon at the top left.
2. Tap your status under your profile picture.
3. Tap the x icon next to your status.
4. Tap the checkmark at the top right corner.
Once you’ve cleared your status, you can share a new status at any time using the methods discussed under Sharing your status.

Viewing other users’ statuses

You can view a user’s status by visiting their profile, where their status is located directly under their name.
You can also find a user’s status next to their name in any direct message, group message, or team chat when they post a message.
