Using Flip-to-RingCentral in the RingCentral mobile app

Flip-to-RingCentral allows you to convert email messages to RingCentral app messages.You can send Flip-to-RingCentral messages to any user or team. When flipping an email conversation to a team chat, you have an option to create a team chat via the Flip-to-RingCentral push notification. 
 
Note: this feature 
  • is only for users that have a RingCentral Video Pro or RingCentral Video Pro+ plan and
  • only supports Microsoft Office 365 and Gmail.

Flipping an email conversation to the RingCentral mobile app

1. In your email mobile app, choose and open an email conversation.
2. Forward the email to flip@ringcentral.com. You will receive an email notification from RingCentral that your email is ready to flip to the RingCentral app.
3. Open the email and tap Flip Email to RingCentral.

4. Begin typing in the To field to populate the list of names or teams underneath.
5. Select and tap the name or team, and then tap Next at top right.
Once you’ve completed these steps, the email will be sent as a chat message to the user or team in the RingCentral mobile app. 

Creating a team chat via the Flip-to-RingCentral push notification

1. In your email mobile app, choose and open an email conversation. 
2. Forward the email to flip@ringcentral.com. You will receive an email notification from RingCentral that your email is ready to flip to the RingCentral app.
3. Open the email and tap Flip Email to RingCentral.
4. Tap Create team.
5. Tap the team title to edit the default team name. The team name will be the subject of the email once flipped.
6. Tap Team type to configure privacy settings. Tap either Private (invite only) or Public (visible to any coworker).
7. Tap Members and type names in the To field to populate the list of names to add underneath.
8. Select and tap members to add, and then tap Next on top right.
9. Tap the checkmark icon at top right to save.
Once you’ve completed these steps, the flipped email will be sent to the RingCentral mobile app as a chat message to the team you’ve created via the Flip-to-RingCentral push notification.
