Intro to the Rooms dashboard
============================

The Rooms dashboard is where IT admins can monitor room health trends and quickly identify the root causes of issues.

Data refreshes every fifteen minutes. According to their RingCentral settings, the reported time zone is the current user's time zone.

There are three categories of room health:

* **Good**: A meeting can be held. The host, Controller, and preferred peripherals are online.
* **Warning**: A meeting can be held. The calendar isn't connected and/or one or more preferred peripherals are offline.
* **Critical**: Meeting cannot be held. The host and/or Controller are offline or logged out. Some peripherals might be offline, too.

There are three statuses for a room on the Rooms page:

* **Online**: Meeting can be held - Controller and Host are online
* **Offline**: Meeting cannot be held - Controller or/and Host offline In
* **Meeting**: Meeting is currently being held - Controller and Host are online

Rooms dashboard components
--------------------------

The Rooms page allows users to filter data by various dimensions. Users can filter by a specific room by entering the room name or filter based on other dimensions to get a list of rooms that satisfy the criteria.

### Data filters

The Filters section is located beneath the top navigation bar. It allows you to customize your report to include specific data only. Use the dropdown menus in each to select:

* **Search Room Name** : If you know a room's name or partial name, enter it in the **Search Room Name** field.
* **Date Range** : Select a preset choice of the last *24 hours* , *72 hours* , or *7 days to date*.
* **Locations**: Use checkboxes to select any shown locations to include in the report or enter a specific location or IP address in the search field.
* **Sites**: For Advanced and Ultra accounts, the site filter allows users to filter rooms.
* **Room Health** : Choose whether to show data for room health that's **Good** , **Warning** , or **Critical**.
* **Room Status** : Check boxes to choose whether to see statuses for **Online** , **Offline** , or **In-person Meetings**.
* **ISPs**: Check boxes to select any number of internet service providers (ISPs) to include in the report or enter a specific ISP in the search field.
* **Host RC Rooms App Versions**: Check boxes to choose to show data for specific versions of RC Rooms installed on the host.
* **Controller RC Rooms App Versions**: Check boxes to choose to show data for specific versions of RC Rooms installed on the controller.

#### Rooms Health Trend

Rooms health trend, shown in Figure 6, shows the number of rooms with different health conditions over time. This is a place where IT admins can evaluate if the measures they've implemented effectively reduce or eliminate issues in rooms. For example, if regularly rebooting the host and controller increases the number of healthy rooms.

The graph shows the Room Health breakdown over the last 24 hours by default. Users can select a specific time range on the graph to filter the rooms in the table further.

#### Rooms Table

The Rooms table lets IT admins identify the root causes of any issues in a room.

By default, the Rooms table shows the current condition of each room. Once users select a date range in the filter, the condition of each room will be updated to the last condition of the selected date range. Users can also update the condition by selecting a timeframe in the Health Trend graph, and the condition will update to reflect the time range selected in the trend graph.

Users can sort the table by all columns:

* **Room Name**: The room name was given in the Admin Portal.
* **Sites**: For Advanced and Ultra accounts, users can sort rooms by site.
* **Location**: The location rendered by Maxmind is based on the room's public IP address.
* **Health**: The health of the room and values could be one of the following: good, warning, critical.
* **Status**: Status of the room. Values could be online or offline.
* **Host**: Status of the host. Values could be online or offline.
* **Controller**: Status of the controller. Values could be online or offline.
* **Mic** : Status of mics where values could be good, warning, or critical.
  * *Good*: The preferred mic is online.
  * *Warning*: The preferred mic is offline, but backup mics are online.
  * *Critical*: All mics are offline.

* **Speaker** : The status of the speakers, where values could be good, warning, or critical.
  * *Good*: The preferred speaker is online.
  * *Warning*: The preferred speaker is offline, but backup speakers are online.
  * *Critical*: All mics are offline.

* **Camera** : Status of cameras where values could be good, warning, or critical.
  * *Good*: The preferred camera is online.
  * *Warning*: The preferred camera is offline, but backup cameras are online.
  * *Critical*: All cameras are offline.

* **Last Online**: The latest timestamp when the room was online. By default, the table sorts by health from critical to good.

Users can click the expand button to further troubleshoot for a specific room. Users can see detailed setting information of host and controller, including make and model, device OS and version, RingCentral app version, IP addresses, last reboot time, and status. These data points can help users identify if the current setting is causing issues in the room. For example, an outdated RingCentral App version might affect the quality of meetings in the room.

Underneath the setting information, users can see the number of meetings hosted in the room in the past seven days. This information helps users understand the room's usage and prioritize room monitoring based on usage.

On the right side, users can see a graph showing the room's history of being offline and/or in warning/critical condition during the past seven days. This can help users spot patterns in disruption to prevent future problems. For example, if a room keeps going offline every night and will be back online in the morning, it might be due to the controller's charger being unplugged, leading to the controller being out of charge. Identifying such patterns will help IT admins pinpoint potential root causes for rooms going offline and take preventive measures to prevent such disruptions from happening in the future.
