A fax cover page typically includes the sender’s and recipient’s names, and sometimes a short note. You can attach a cover page to faxes that you send with RingCentral.
Where do you want to set up your fax cover page?

Open the RingCentral app on your desktop or web browser.
Select Fax from the left navigation bar.
Note: Depending on how you’ve customized your tabs, you may need to select Fax from the More menu.
Click New fax in the upper right corner.
Enter the recipient’s phone number in the To field.
Select a Cover page style.
Note: If you’ve used a cover page but don’t want to include one this time, select None.
If you’d like, add a Cover page note.
Attach the files you want to fax, then send your fax.
Open the RingCentral mobile app.
Tap Fax in the bottom menu bar.
Note: Depending on how you’ve customized your tabs, you may need to tap More first.
Tap the plus icon in the upper right corner.
Enter the recipient’s name or phone number in the To field.
Tap Cover page and choose a style.
Note: If you’ve used a cover page but don’t want to include one this time, select None.
If you’d like, add a Cover page note.
Tap Save.
Attach the files you want to fax, then send your fax.
Setting up your own cover page
Go to the Admin Portal and sign in. If you’re an admin, click Admin Portal > My Extension in the top right.
Select Settings in the top menu.
Go to Outbound Calls/Faxes > Fax Settings.
Enter the company name and full address.
Under Phone Number, click Edit and select the number you want to display on the cover page as your main phone number. Once selected, click Done.
Note: If you select your company’s main number, your extension number will also be included on the cover page.
Under Fax Number, click Edit and select the number you want to display on the cover page as your fax number. Once selected, click Done.
Under Cover Page, click Select and pick a design under Default Cover Page. Once selected, click Done.
Click Save.
Setting up someone else’s cover page
If you’re a Super Admin, you can set up a cover page for someone else in your company.
In Users with Extensions, select a user from the list.
Go to Outbound Calls/Faxes > Fax Settings.
Enter the company name and full address.
Under Phone Number, click Edit and select the number you want to display on the cover page as the sender’s main phone number. Once selected, click Done.
Note: If you select your company’s main number, the sender’s extension number will also be included on the cover page.
Under Fax Number, click Edit and select the number you want to display on the cover page as the sender’s fax number. Once selected, click Done.
Under Cover Page, click Select and pick a design under Default Cover Page. Once selected, click Done.
Click Save.
Setting up your own cover page
Go to the Admin Portal and sign in. If you’re an admin, click Admin Portal > My Extension in the top right.
Select Settings in the top menu.
Go to Outbound Calls/Faxes > Fax Settings.
Scroll down to Faxes Sent via Email.
Under Cover Page Note, choose how you would like to display your note.
Use Subject Line: The email’s subject line will become the cover page note.
Use Email Body: The email’s body will become the cover page note.
Omit cover pageif note is blank: If a fax is sent without a cover page note, a cover page won't be used.
The RingCentral Phone app lets you choose a standard cover page as your default, or you can create your own. Select a standard cover page from the dropdown menu, or add a custom cover page by following the popup window instructions to create a template with the fields you want to use.
Using a standard cover page
Open the RingCentral Phone app.
Select Compose fax from the bottom menu bar.
Enter the recipient’s name or number.
Select a Cover Page style. To preview, click the View icon.
Note: If you don’t want to include a cover page, select None.
Click the checkmark to confirm your selection.
If you’d like, add a Note.
Attach the files you want to fax, then send your fax.
Creating a custom cover page
Open the RingCentral Phone app.
Select Compose fax from the bottom menu bar.
Go to the Cover Page style selections dropdown menu, and click the plus icon next to Custom Cover Page.
Name your custom cover page, and follow the instructions in the popup to create a DOCX file template with your custom fields.
To add the template you’ve created, select Attach file and click Save.
Note: Once added, the template appears under Custom Cover Page.
