Favorite contacts are a personalized list of people you connect with most often. Adding someone to your favorites keeps them readily available for quick and easy communication.

Guests, contacts that don't have a phone number, and contacts from [your connected accounts](https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/Managing-connected-accounts-in-the-RingCentral-app.html?brand=RingCentral&product=RingEX&language=en_US "") can't be added as a favorite.

## Desktop & web

Adding favorite contacts in the desktop and web app
---------------------------------------------------

Your favorite contacts are listed at the top of the **All** tab. They can be added in the Contacts tab and from a contact's profile. You can also sort your favorites by dragging and dropping the names into your preferred order.

### Adding a contact to your favorites in the Contacts tab

* In the navigation bar, click **Contacts**.
* In the **All** tab, click the **Add to favorite contacts** plus icon.

* Enter the names or email addresses of the contacts, then click **Add** .

### Adding a contact to your favorites from their profile

* In the navigation bar, click **Contacts**.
* In your list of **Company** or **Personal Contacts**, click on a name to open their profile in the right panel.
* At the top right, click the **Add to favorite contacts** star icon.

Removing favorite contacts in the desktop and web app
-----------------------------------------------------

Your favorite contacts are listed at the top of the **All** tab. They can be removed in the Contacts tab, and from a contact's profile.

### Removing favorite contacts in the Contacts tab

* In the navigation bar, click **Contacts**.
* In the **All** tab, hover over the name of the favorite contact you want to remove.
* Click the **Remove from favorite contacts** trash icon. You may need to click the three-dot **More** icon to see the option.

* Click the **Company** tab, then click a name to open their profile in the right panel.

## Mobile

Adding favorite contacts in the mobile app
------------------------------------------

Your favorite contacts are listed at the top of the **Company** tab. They can be added in the Contacts tab and from a contact's profile.

### Adding a contact to your favorites in the Contacts tab

* Tap **Contacts** in the bottom toolbar.
* Under the **Company** tab, tap **Add**.
* Enter the names or email addresses of the contacts you want to add, or tap their name.
* At the top right, tap **Done** (iOS) or **Next** (Android).

* In your list of **Company** or **Personal Contacts**, tap on a contact to open their profile, or in a message conversation, tap the contact's name at the top.
* At the top right, tap the **Add to favorite contacts** star icon.

Removing favorite contacts in the mobile app
--------------------------------------------

Your favorite contacts are listed at the top of the **Company** tab. They can be removed in the Contacts tab, and from a contact's profile.

### Removing favorite contacts in the Contacts tab

* Tap **Contacts** in the bottom toolbar.
* Under the **Company** tab, tap **Manage**.
* At the top right, for:
  * iOS: Tap **Edit** , tap the delete icon to the left of the contact's name, then tap **Delete**.
  * Android: Tap the three-dot **More** icon, then tap **Delete** . Tap the check box next to the contact's name, then tap the **Delete** trash icon at the top right.

### Removing favorite contacts from their profile

* In your list of **Company** contacts, tap on a name to open their profile, or in a message conversation, tap the contact's name at the top.
* At the top right, click the **Star** icon to remove them from your favorites.

Sorting favorite contacts in the mobile app
-------------------------------------------

* Tap **Contacts** in the bottom toolbar.
* Under the **Company** tab, tap **Manage**.
* For:
  * iOS: Tap **Edit**, then drag and drop the contacts into a different order.
  * Android: Tap the three-dot **More** icon, tap **Sort**, then drag and drop the contacts into a different order.
