Configuring settings for standalone window for phone
calls in the RingCentral app desktop
Last updated on November 30, 2021
You can handle calls in the RingCentral desktop app via:
Floating dialer within the app
Standalone call window that is separate from the app (this is the default setting selection)
The standalone call window in the RingCentral app automatically detaches call windows from the RingCentral desktop app, so you can manage and handle them without focusing on the RingCentral app main window.
Configuring settings for standalone call window
Go to Settings via the left-hand navigation bar.
Click the Phone tab in the left pane.
Under Call handling, toggle the switch at the far right of Use standalone window for phone calls to enable or disable the feature. This is enabled by default.
When the standalone window for phone calls feature is turned on, the toggle switch for Always keep phone call window in front becomes available. If you enable this, it will allow the standalone phone call window to always stay in the foreground.
