The purpose of this article is to provide you with the instructions you need to join a RingCentral meeting via your Google or Microsoft Outlook calendar.
The RingCentral app makes joining a meeting simple. As we discussed in Intro to RingCentral Video, you can easily start, join, and schedule a meeting all within the Video interface, so there’s no need to leave the app to join a meeting. Additionally, when it’s time to join a scheduled meeting, your connected calendars will notify you when a meeting is about to start, ensuring you’re always on time for your meeting.
You can join a meeting that has been scheduled either by you or another user in the RingCentral app.
Scheduled meetings will appear in your Outlook or Google calendar, where you may choose to join your meeting via the calendar invite.
Joining a meeting
To join a meeting via calendar invite, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to your Microsoft Outlook or Google calendar
2. Open the scheduled meeting you need to attend
3. Join the meeting in one of the following ways:
a. Click the RingCentral Video meeting link and join the meeting OR
b. Copy the invitation link and paste it to your web browser
4. Enter your name in the field
5. Click the Join meeting now button
6. Choose how to join your audio
