Why does my TV turn on at night when connected
to RingCentral Rooms for Poly?

Issue
The TV automatically turns on at night when connected to Poly devices for RingCentral Rooms.
Affected environments
- RingCentral Rooms for Poly
- Poly X30
- Poly X50
- Connected TV used for output
Cause
The Poly system performs a weekly health check and this includes an automatic system reboot between 12-1am every Sunday. Once the connected TV detects that the Poly device is online, the TV will turn on automatically.
Resolution
If you do not want this to happen, consult your TV manufacturer’s handbook or user manual on how to disable HDMI-CEC.
