RingCentral Rooms: Hosting and Joining RingCentral Rooms Sessions

 You can join a meeting in RingCentral Rooms from the controller.

Joining a scheduled meeting

Scheduled meetings appear on the dashboard of your Rooms controller. Scheduled meetings also appear under Today’s meetings. On the Rooms controller, tap Join on the scheduled meeting.

Joining a meeting with a meeting ID

  1. Tap Join with ID on the controller's bottom row.

  1. Enter the meeting ID to join the meeting on the monitor.

Joining a meeting with voice command

If voice command is enabled, you can join a scheduled meeting without touching the controller by saying, “Hi RingCentral, join meeting.”

Your controller device will only be listening 15 minutes before and after a meeting. It will stop listening when a meeting starts. Voice command audio is processed only on the client Rooms host device and not sent to a server.

To enable voice command on your device, visit Enabling voice command on the RingCentral Rooms controller.

Joining third-party meetings via Phone

In rooms enabled with a Phone license, you can now dial in to scheduled Teams, Zoom, Webex, or GoToMeeting meetings with just one tap. Third-party meetings are available to join by phone only, and the meeting type is listed below the meeting title.
  1. On the Rooms controller, select a number to dial.
  2. Tap Dial in.

Joining RingCentral Webinar

RingCentral Rooms users can join a RingCentral webinar as an attendee. Tap the Join button on the Rooms controller’s upcoming list.

Joining third-party meetings via SIP

RingCentral Rooms users can join upcoming Zoom, Webex, or GoToMeeting meetings via the SIP meeting protocol by tapping the Join button on the controller. You can also use meeting control buttons or DTMF commands (in Zoom or Webex meetings) to manage the meeting. 
 
Note: Using the phone as a controller and using proximity share during a SIP meeting is not yet supported.

Joining meetings via meeting ID

  1. On the Rooms controller, tap Join.
  2. Tap Enter meeting ID, and enter the meeting ID.
  3. Tap Join.

Joining meetings via SIP address

  1. On the Rooms controller, tap Join.
  2. Tap Enter SIP address, and enter the SIP address.
  3. Tap Join.
