What if no rooms are available when switching from a
mobile device to a room?

Issue

A mobile device cannot find a room when trying to switch a meeting from a phone to a room and displays the “No available rooms nearby” prompt.

Affected environments

  • RingCentral Rooms

Cause

Mobile devices connect to Rooms through Bluetooth, so the mobile device could be too far away from the host device. 
 
The host device’s Bluetooth may be turned off.

Resolution

  • Move closer to the Room you want to connect to and try again.
  • Contact your IT Admin to check if the host device’s Bluetooth is on or updated to the latest version.
