Why can't I auto-launch my Poly X-series device after reboot? | RingCentral Rooms

Issue

Poly X-series host firmware version has updated from 3.5.0-344025 to 3.8.0. Rooms host could not auto-launch after reboot.

Affected environments

  • Poly X-series

Cause

This problem was caused by a package name change to the RingCentral Rooms app in version 3.6. A further code change by Poly did not handle this package name change.

Resolution

  1. Update the Poly X-series to 3.9 (skip the interim builds).
  2. Plug in a mouse to the Poly X-series.
  3. Click the RNG icon.
Poly will have a fix in a 3.10 initial build.
