Customizing the notification email sent to users
================================================

This article provides instructions for administrators on how to customize parts of the content of the notification email sent to users.

Account or IT administrators can customize some aspects of notification emails sent to users such as adding more content or restricting the email to be sent completely in case additional actions still need to be before informing the user.

Customizing the content and logo
--------------------------------

Adding customized content to the email notification helps users immediately recognize that the notifications are from the company, as well as have access to contact information of designated people in case they have further questions.

**Note:** This feature is only available to RingEX™ Premium and Ultimate plans.

* Go to the [Admin Portal](https://service.ringcentral.com/ "") and sign in.
* Go to **More \> Account Settings \> Appearance**.
* Click **Email Notifications**.
* Fill out the customizable fields on the right. You can also remove additional information normally included in the email by unchecking the options on the lower right.
* To see a preview of the changes made, click **Update Preview**.
* Click **Save**.

Disabling email notification when phone is assigned
---------------------------------------------------

This applies when a DigitalLine is added and assigned to a user for the purpose of re-configuring an existing device. The user previously receives an email with steps on how to provision their device as shown by the example below:

To restrict this email from being sent, you must first configure the user's settings before assigning them a DigitalLine.

* Go to the [Admin Portal](https://service.ringcentral.com/ "") and sign in.
* Go to **Users \> User list \> Users With Extensions**, and select the user from the list.
* Go to **User Details \> General** , untick the **Send an email when a phone is added** checkbox.
* Click **Save**.
