<var class="keyword">
<div style="display: inline;">
RingCentral

Setting up the dial-by-name directory
-------------------------------------

* To set up your DBND, adjust these settings as needed:
  * **Directory Key** : In the **Key Press** field, enter the dialpad number you want to use to route callers to your Dial-by-Name Directory. When a caller enters this number while listening to a user or group extension greeting, they'll be returned to the DBND.

  * **Search Criteria** : Select whether you want callers to search your DNBD by the first three letters of an employee's **First name** or **Last name** .

    Note: Searches must be three letters exactly. This setting can't be changed.

  * If the multi-site feature is turned on, you can also specify the **Users included in search** . (Optional)
    * **All users in directory**: Click to include users from all company sites in search results.
    * **Users in selected sites**: Click to include users from specified company sites in search results.
    * **Users in the same site as the IVR menu**: Click to include in search results only users from the company site that's assigned to the IVR menu.

* Click **Save** .

Note:

* Callers will be able to access the DNBD only from the company greeting, or from a user or group greeting.
* When callers dial the DBND extension directly, they'll hear the error message, "Wrong extension."
