Installing the RingCentral Rooms app on a controller
Admins can set up an iPad or Android tablet as a RingCentral Rooms controller and connect it to your Rooms system (host) computer.
To run RingCentral Rooms, your device must run one of the following operating systems:
iPad: iOS 14 or later
Android: Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.0” and 10.5”) with Android 7.0 or later
To optimize performance, we recommend you connect the Rooms system (host) computer and controller to the same network. Visit RingCentral Rooms system requirements for more information.
Downloading and installing RingCentral Rooms on an iPad controller
On the Android controller, enter the pairing code you see on the TV display.
Sign in to the Rooms app in one of two ways:
Sign in with your RingCentral admin credentials, and select the appropriate Rooms profile from the list.
Sign in using a Rooms Activation Code. This method allows you to log directly into the desired room profile without having to enter your admin credentials or search for the room from the list.
Note: The standalone RingCentral Rooms app for Android is available only for tablet devices.
