Installing the RingCentral Rooms app on a controller

Admins can set up an iPad or Android tablet as a RingCentral Rooms controller and connect it to your Rooms system (host) computer.

To run RingCentral Rooms, your device must run one of the following operating systems:
  • iPad: iOS 14 or later
  • Android: Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.0” and 10.5”) with Android 7.0 or later

To optimize performance, we recommend you connect the Rooms system (host) computer and controller to the same network. Visit RingCentral Rooms system requirements for more information.

Downloading and installing RingCentral Rooms on an iPad controller

  1. In the RingCentral App Gallery, search for the RingCentral Rooms app.
  2. If prompted, sign in with your RingCentral credentials.
  3. Tap
    Install
    .
  4. Tap
    Open
    .
  5. On the iPad controller, enter the pairing code on the TV display.

After you download the controller app, you’ll need to pair your host computer and controller.

  1. In the RingCentral App Gallery, search for the RingCentral Rooms app.
  2. Tap
    Install
    .
  3. Tap
    Open
    .
  4. On the Android controller, enter the pairing code you see on the TV display.
  5. Sign in to the Rooms app in one of two ways:
    • Sign in with your RingCentral admin credentials, and select the appropriate Rooms profile from the list.
    • Sign in using a Rooms Activation Code. This method allows you to log directly into the desired room profile without having to enter your admin credentials or search for the room from the list.

Note: The standalone RingCentral Rooms app for Android is available only for tablet devices.
