Name is Displayed on All Lines of a Polycom VVX Phone

The name of the User is displayed on all of the lines of the phone.

Polycom VVX phones

The name is displayed on each line of the Polycom phone to indicate that the line can be used to make/receive calls. By the default, RingCentral provisioned deskphones have all the lines available for use.

**IMPORTANT** : **Reducing the number of lines on the phone reduces the number of calls you can make/receive simultaneously.**

* [Get the phone's IP address](https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/Getting-your-deskphone-s-IP-address.html?brand=RingCentral&product=RingEX&language=en_US "") through the menu. Alternatively, you can immediately view it by holding keys **1** , **4** , and **7** simultaneously.
* Enter the IP address into a web browser to access its web interface.
* Enter the password if promoted. The default password can be any of the following: **456** , **72227** or leave it blank.
* Go to **Utilities** \> **Line Key Configuration**.
* Click the name in the first row under **Configured Lines** , and change the **No. of Line Appearances** value to **2**.
* Click **Save**.
