Attaching a file in the RingCentral mobile app

You can attach files to a message at any time, and these files can come either from your mobile device or Google Drive. You can attach any type of file, including documents, images, and videos.
The process for attaching a file from your mobile device or Google Drive is a little different, so let’s review each of these methods separately.
Attaching a file from your mobile device
If you’d like to attach a file from your mobile device without including a message, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to Message via the bottom menu bar
2. Select a conversation from the conversation list
3. Draft your message in the message field (optional)
4. Tap the plus sign in the bottom left corner of the app
5. Select Attach files icon from the menu
6. Locate, select, and open the file(s) from your mobile device to attach to the message
The file will be sent automatically, along with your message.
Attaching a file from Google Drive
To attach a file from Google Drive in your mobile device to a message, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to Message via the bottom menu bar
2. Select a conversation from the conversation list
3. Draft your message in the message field (optional)
4. Tap the plus sign in the bottom left corner of the app
5. Select Attach files icon from the menu
6. Choose the Google account from which you’d like to import your files
7. Locate and tap on the file from your Google Drive you’d like to attach to the message
The file will be sent automatically, along with your message.
Note: If you’ve attached an image to your message either from your mobile device or Google Drive, you can check if it is the correct file before sending it out by tapping on the image. This will open up the image in full screen view. If the image is incorrect, tap the back button and tap the x icon on the incorrect image to remove it. Follow the steps above to attach another image to send along with your message.
