Switching Video Meetings Between Mobile and Desktop Apps

The purpose of this article is to show how to switch between a RingCentral Video meeting on your desktop and mobile app without disconnecting the meeting.
 
You can instantly switch between using the RingCentral app on your computer and mobile phone at any time during a meeting. Switching between the RingCentral Video meeting desktop and mobile app is convenient if you need to switch devices and finish your meeting while on the go. This can be done with just a tap on your phone or a click on your desktop using your computer, iOS, or Android devices.

Switching a RingCentral Video meeting from the mobile to desktop 

While in a meeting on the mobile app, follow these steps to switch to the desktop app:
1. Launch the RingCentral desktop app on your computer while in a meeting on the mobile app
2. Click Switch meeting to this device at the top of your screen 
3. Click to enable Keep me connected on my other device if you want to take the meeting simultaneously using your mobile device and desktop app. Please note that if you choose this option, you have to end the meeting on both the RingCentral desktop and mobile app once done
4. Click Switch 

Switching a RingCentral Video meeting from desktop to mobile 

While in a meeting on the desktop app, follow these steps to switch to the mobile app:
1. Launch the RingCentral mobile app on your phone while in a meeting on your computer
2. Tap Switch meeting to this device at the top of your screen to open Confirm meeting switch modal window. This will close the meeting on your computer
3. Tap Switch
