Flipping a call, or call flip, is a feature in RingCentral app and RingCentral Phone. Call flip lets you transfer a live call to an assigned number with only a brief interruption to the call. While you flip a call, you will place that caller on hold until the flip has been completed.

In order for you to use call flip, you need to configure it in the Call Handling & Forwarding section of your RingEX account, including adding a list of numbers you can choose from to flip the call to. See How to Configure the Call Flip Settings to learn more.

Flipping a call for desktop or web

  1. Start a call.
  2. On the dial pad that appears, click the Call Actions ellipsis button to reveal a dropdown menu.
  3. Select Flip to open a small window with a list of available numbers that you can select to transfer the call to.
  4. Select the number you want to transfer the call to.

  1. Start a call.
  2. In the active call screen, tap the Call actions More button.
  3. Select Flip.
  4. Select the number you want to transfer the call to from the list of available numbers.
