Starting a video call with a user or team on RingCentral mobile app

You can start a video call:
  • by scheduling a meeting or
  • by tapping the Video icon anywhere you see it in the app with a user, group, or team. 
Note: Hosts and participants are permitted to have two meetings running simultaneously on the RingCentral app desktop and web. This applies to instant meetings or scheduled meetings. If a participant or host tries to join a third meeting session, the first attended meeting will automatically disconnect.

Starting an instant meeting via Message menu

  1. Navigate to Message via the bottom menu bar.

  1. Open a conversation for a user, group, or team.

  1. Tap the video camera button at top right. If you are starting a meeting with a team, select Start huddle.
Note: When starting a video call with a team, the number of participants who can join depends on your meeting license.

Starting an instant meeting via Contacts menu

  1. Navigate to Contacts via the bottom menu bar.

  1. Type in the name of a user, group, or team in the search bar at the top of the screen and select a contact.

  1. Tap the video camera icon under the name of the contact. If you are starting a meeting with a team, select Start huddle.
