Managing your company's teams as a super admin in
the RingCentral app desktop and web | RingCentral app 

If you’re a super admin in the RingCentral app, you can manage any private or public teams owned by your company.

Deleting a team

Deleting a team means that you will remove that team permanently from the RingCentral app, and you will lose all of that team’s conversation history. If you think you may need to recover that team at any time, it’s recommended that instead of deleting that team, you archive it instead.

Deleting a team as a super admin in the RingCentral app

1. Navigate to Contacts via the left-hand navigation bar.
2. Click Public teams or Private teams under Team Administration in the left pane.
3. Hover over the team you want to delete the Team settings icon at the far right.
4. Click the Team admin settings tab.
5. Click Delete team at the bottom of the window.
6. Click the Delete button to confirm.

Archiving a team

If you’d like to deactivate a team without the permanence of fully deleting it from the app, you may choose to archive that team instead. Archiving a team ensures that you can bring the team back at any time and fully retain that team’s conversation history.
 
Note: Once a team is archived, you can’t search it from the search bar at the top of the RingCentral app. That team must first be restored before you’re able to search it again. For more info about searching, visit Searching for a user or conversation in the RingCentral app desktop and web.

1. Navigate to Contacts via the left-hand navigation bar.
2. Click Public teams or Private teams under Team Administration in the left pane.
3. Hover over the team you want to delete the Team settings icon at the far right.
4. Click the Team admin settings tab.
5. Click Archive team at the bottom of the window.
6. Click the Archive button to confirm.
