Intro to Android Auto support
=============================

Requirements
------------

* A vehicle equipped with Android Auto.
* An Android phone with Android Auto installed.
* A high-quality USB cable.

Connecting your phone to Android Auto
-------------------------------------

* Connect your phone to the Android Auto device via a USB cable.
* Download the Android Auto app from Google Play.
* Open the Android Auto app and allow notification access for Android Auto.
* Open the <var class="keyword">
  <div style="display: inline;"></div></var> app and sign in to your account.
* Open Android Auto on your car screen.
* Grant permission to use Android Auto.

Using Android Auto to listen to received messages
-------------------------------------------------

Message notifications appear at the top of the Android Auto screen. Select **Play** on the notification to listen to the message.

Using Android Auto to reply to messages
---------------------------------------

You can reply to the messages received via voice command.

* After opening a message, say "OK Google" or select the microphone icon on the screen.
* Say "Reply," then say your reply.
* Android Auto will repeat your message. You can say "Send," "Change message," or "Cancel."

Muting conversation notifications
---------------------------------

Select **Mute conversation** on the message notification to stop receiving notifications for each conversation. Select **Unmute conversation** to start receiving notifications from the conversation.
