Adding a park location to the HUD in the RingCentral desktop and web app

Parking a call lets you put a call on hold from one endpoint, then resume the call from any other endpoint in your private park location group. When you park a call to your park location, any group member can pick it up.
 
Note: To use call parking, you’ll need to turn on the HUD feature and make sure you’ve added the park location to your HUD.

Adding a park location in your HUD

A park location group will be added to your Heads-up display (HUD) in the RingCentral app after an admin adds you as a member and you add it to your presence in the RingCentral online account.
 
Note: If you’ve deleted a park location, you can add it again later.

Using the new Phone menu

  1. In the left navigation bar, click Phone.
  2. Click the HUD tab.
  3. At the bottom of the window, click Add an extension.

  1. Enter the park location’s name or extension, then click Add.

Using the old Phone menu

  1. In the left navigation bar, click Phone.
  2. Under HUD, click Park locations.
  3. In the upper right corner, click the Add park location icon. If your list displays no park locations, click the Add park location button at the bottom of the right panel.
