Intro to Phone in the RingCentral app

Phone is the main location for placing calls, viewing and managing call history, and accessing voicemails and call recordings.

In the RingCentral desktop or web app

You can access various features in the Phone menu of the RingCentral app.
  • Call history
  • Voicemail
  • HUD
  • Conference

Phone settings

Configure your phone settings by going to Settings > Phone in the left navigation bar. You can update your Incoming calls, Outgoing calls, and General settings.

In the RingCentral mobile app

Tap the Phone icon in the bottom menu. You’ll see tabs for your dialpad, recent calls, and voicemails. Android users will also see a tab for recordings.

Dialpad

From the dialpad, you can make a call or change your outbound caller ID.

Recents

View a log of your call activities. Use the Search recent calls field to find calls by name, phone number, or extension. Tap the Filter icon to the right to show the following:
  • All: View a list of all your calls, including missed calls and audio conference calls.
  • Missed: View a list of your missed calls.

Voicemail

Access and manage your voicemails. Use the Search voicemails field to find voicemails by name, phone number, or extension. Tap the Filter icon to the right to view the following:
  • All: Access and play your voicemails. 
  • Unread: View a list of your unplayed voicemails.

Recordings (Android only)

Access and manage your recordings. Use the Search recordings field to search for recordings using the caller’s name, phone number, or extension. 

Conference

Tap the Conference icon in the upper right corner to view your conference room, start a conference call, and invite participants.

Phone settings

To change settings for the Phone menu:
  1. Tap your profile picture in the top left. 
  2. Tap Phone.
