Using Citrix VDI integration in the RingCentral app

Citrix is integrated with the RingCentral app for desktop and web to improve the quality of your audio calls. This new feature will only be applied to Telephony users who have a Citrix Virtual Desktop environment on their machines. To learn more, visit Citrix VDI integration system requirements.
 
Note: The Citrix VDI integration in the RingCentral app for desktop and web is only available on Windows.

Using Citrix on RingCentral web app

If you intend to use Citrix in the RingCentral web app, you need to install a Google Chrome extension created by Citrix. You can find the extension and instructions here.
 
Note: Citrix can only be used via Google Chrome for the RingCentral web app.

Using Citrix on RingCentral desktop app

If you intend to use Citrix in the RingCentral desktop app, you need to download and run a file. You can find the file here (If you’re using Google Chrome, right click the file link and select Open link in new window).

Ensuring your call is optimized by Citrix

1. Navigate to Settings via the left-hand navigation bar.
2. Click on the Advanced tab.
3. Make sure the tab at the far right of Optimize media quality for Citrix is toggled on. This 
    feature is toggled on by default if a user is detected to use the RingCentral app with Citrix
    VDI.

You can check if Citrix is working if your call has the Media optimized for Citrix indicator.
