Joining RingCentral Video audio on desktop and web

This article provides information on how you can join the RingCentral Video meeting audio on your desktop app and web.
 
As discussed in Joining a RingCentral Video meeting via calendar invite, you can easily join a meeting that has been scheduled either by you or another user in the RingCentral app and web. When joining a meeting, you can select different ways to join the audio of your meeting. You can also enable the auto connect option to automatically connect to your computer’s audio when you join a meeting.

Enabling RingCentral Video meeting auto connect audio on 

To enable auto connect audio on RingCentral Video, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to Settings via the left-hand navigation bar
2. Select the Video tab from the left pane
3. Click on the Edit button at far right of Video meeting settings
4. Select Preferences
5. Under Advanced, ensure that the box next to Automatically join audio with computer is checked

Joining options for RingCentral Video desktop and web

When auto connect audio is not enabled in the RingCentral Video meeting settings, you can choose how to join the meeting audio using the following options:
  • Continue without audio: You will not be connected to the meeting audio on your computer. You may opt to dial in to the meeting using a deskphone
  • Join audio by computer: Using this option, you will be connected to the meeting audio using your computer
  • Dial in: This option will let you dial in using any phone device you prefer. After dialing in, return to the RingCentral app to view the meeting
  • Call me: Using this option, RingCentral Video will call the phone number you are using

Using your computer audio

To connect to your RingCentral Video meeting audio via your computer’s audio, follow these steps:
1. In the Choose how to join audio modal window, click Automatically join audio with computer if you prefer this option to be your default audio source
2. Select Join audio by computer

Dialing in

To connect to your RingCentral Video meeting audio via Dial in, follow these steps:
1. In the Choose how to join audio modal window, click Dial in
2. Select your Country
3. Using your selected phone device, call any of the indicated Dial numbers
4. Follow the prompt in entering the Access code and Participant ID

Calling your device

To connect to your RingCentral Video meeting audio via Call me, follow these steps:
1. In the Choose how to join audio modal window, click Call me
2. Select your Country
3. Enter your phone number in the Enter the number to call field
4. Uncheck the box for Remember this number if you don’t want this option
5. Click Call me, then accept the call on your selected device
Please note that RingCentral Video will call the number you registered.
