Google Business Messages lets your company embed a Message button for your business on Google’s search page and Google Maps results. By linking Google Business Messages with your Engage Digital account, customers can contact your agents by clicking on the Message button. Contact your CSM for help configuring Google Business Messages.
  • Agent UUID: The identifier for the Google Business Messages agent. The Agent UUID is generated  when setting up your Google Business Messages entity.
  • Brand UUID: The identifier for your brand or company. When you set up your Google Business Messages entity, the brand UUID is generated.
  • Secret key: A JSON Web Token (JWT) that provides identity and context data from Google Business Messages.
    • For example: You generate a unique link, and a customer opens that link to open a Google Business Messages chat session. Engage Digital receives information about the client when that client sends a message. That information will populate identity information in the identity profile and context information in the message.

  • Welcome message: The first message customers see when contacting you via Google Business Messages. This is a mandatory field.
    • The Welcome message states what the customer can do and ends with a question encouraging them to type in their question or concern.
    • You can configure the Welcome message as simple text or as simple text along with several quick replies. When composing a Welcome message that contains one or more quick replies, each quick reply should start with a new line and the # (pound) symbol.
  • Conversation starters: Provides a way for customers to easily start a conversation with your business by selecting from a list of questions or topics. You can specify up to five conversation starters per language. Each question should start with a new line and has an 80-character limit.
