Creating extensions and users in the RingCentral online account

  1. Log in as an admin to your RingCentral online account.
  2. Click Users.
  3. Under User List, select Users with Extensions.
  4. Click Add User.
  5. Select Mobile User as the user type.

  1. Fill in the basic information about the user. You can add up to 24 users by entering the desired number of users and clicking Add. You can also click the duplicate icon at the far-right to create new rows to copy basic user information.
  2. Click Next.

  1. Select how you’d like to set up the user’s account.
  • Send Invite: Sends a welcome email with an activation link.
  • Activate by assigning credentials: Allows you to set up and activate a user by assigning credentials. This option does not send a welcome email to the user.
  • Activate later: This option is not recommended as it requires additional steps to follow up on.
  1. Click Submit.

Syncing administrators from RingCentral online account

  1. Log in as an admin to your Engage Voice account.
  2. Click Users.
  3. Select Administrators.
  4. Choose the administrator you’d like to sync with an existing user in the RingCentral Admin Portal.
  5. In the Basic Info configuration page, click on the dropdown menu under RC Office extension to list all available users from RingCentral admin portal. Start typing in the field to narrow your search or scroll through to locate the user to sync to the administrator.
  6. Select the desired administrator.
  7. Click Save.

Syncing agents from the RingCentral online account

  1. Log in as an admin to your Engage Voice account.
  2. Click Users.
  3. Select Agents.
  4. Choose the agent you’d like to sync with an existing user in the RingCentral Admin Portal.
  5. In the Basic Info configuration page, click on the dropdown menu under RC Office extension to list all available users from RingCentral Admin Portal. Start typing in the field to narrow your search, or scroll to locate the user to sync to the agent.
  6. Select the desired agent.
  7. Click Save.

Importing agent users from RingCentral admin portal

  1. Log in as an admin to your Engage Voice account.
  2. Click Users.
  3. Select Agents.
  4. Hover your mouse over the agent group you’d like to import an agent to and select the plus icon that appears at the far right.
  5. Select Import Office users.
  6. Use the search bar or scroll through the list to find the agents you’d like to import.
  7. Check the box next to each of the agents you want to import, or check the box at the top to select all agents in the list.
  8. Click Next.

  1. Under the Permissions section, check the box next to each of the basic permissions you’d like to enable for your agent user.
