Table of contents

RingCentral Rooms provides a seamless way of ensuring connectivity even when there are connection problems with the peripheral. The IT Administrator needs to set the preferred peripheral (microphone, speaker, and camera). See what happens in the following scenarios.

On preferred peripheral disconnection

  • If the backup peripheral is available, the connection switches to the backup peripheral
  • If there is no backup peripheral available, an error message will be shown on the host device, and the associated control on the controller will be disabled.
peripheral disconnection

On preferred peripheral reconnection

The room automatically switches back to the preferred peripheral.
