Transferring calls using the Heads-up display in the RingCentral Phone app

This article explains how to transfer a call using the Heads-up display in the RingCentral Phone app.

The >Heads-up display feature in the RingCentral Phone lets you manage incoming calls. You can also transfer calls using the HUD feature.

  1. Click the
    HUD
    icon if your HUD list is docked during an active call. If the HUD list appears on a separate window or is undocked, proceed to the next step.
  2. Hover over the name of the user to whom you want to transfer your active call, then click
    Transfer
    .

  3. You have the following options when clicking
    Transfer
    :
    • Warm Transfer
      : Selecting
      Warm Transfer
      lets you talk to the party to whom you want to transfer the call before you complete the transfer. When you’re ready to transfer the call, click
      Complete
      Transfer
      . In a warm transfer, you’ll see the caller ID of the original caller.
    • Blind Transfer
      : Selecting
      Blind Transfer
      immediately transfers your active call to the selected extension. You won’t be able to talk to the call recipient.
    • To Voicemail
      : Selecting
      To Voicemail
      immediately transfers your active call to the voicemail box of the selected extension.
