Transitioning to the RingCentral mobile app - Announcement Email Templates

This article contains email templates that can be used by RingCentral Administrators for informing their management team and employees on the upcoming transition to the latest RingCentral mobile app.

We are unifying our separate mobile apps into one easier-to-manage solution: the RingCentral mobile app. 

NOTE:
Use the RingCentral Mobile App Transition Guide to get started. This transition applies to the mobile app only. You will still be able to use your RingCentral desktop apps.

Below are email templates designed to help you inform your management team and the rest of the organization on the upcoming transition.

Email Template #1: Transition to RingCentral app – management announcement

Switching to the new RingCentral mobile app

 

Dear team leaders,

Our communications service provider, RingCentral, recently announced the plan to unify their separate mobile apps into one easier-to-manage solution: the RingCentral mobile app.

As part of this transition, the RingCentral Phone mobile app will be retired. This means some of our users that are still using the old RingCentral Phone mobile app will need to switch to the new RingCentral mobile app to continue making and receiving calls on their mobile device.

Note: This transition applies to the mobile app only. We will still be able to use RingCentral desktop apps

What does this mean?

In order to continue making and receiving calls on their mobile devices, users will need to download and install the new RingCentral mobile app. With this app, users will have access to the features they already use, and many more. We recommend you familiarize yourself with the new RingCentral mobile app by downloading it here .

What do you need to do?

In the next few days, we will be emailing users to let them know about this transition. Please encourage your team members to download and begin using the new mobile app as soon as possible. Once users have installed the new mobile app please instruct them to delete the older RingCentral mobile app.

To get a head start, log in with your RingCentral credentials and familiarize yourself with the new mobile app. Here is a guide to help get you started.

Email Template #2: Transition to RingCentral app – end users announcement

Subject Line:
Switching to the new RingCentral mobile app

 

Hi Team,

Our communications service provider, RingCentral, recently announced the plan to unify their separate mobile apps into one easier-to-manage solution: the RingCentral mobile app. As part of this transition, the RingCentral Phone mobile app will be retired.

This means as of (insert date), we will be replacing the RingCentral Phone mobile app with the latest RingCentral mobile app. You will need to switch to the easier-to-use RingCentral mobile app to continue making and receiving calls on your mobile devices.

What action is required:

Download the RingCentral app on your mobile device to continue making and receiving phone calls. With this app, you will have access to the features you already use, and many more. We encourage you to download and log in now to familiarize yourself with the new app. Once you’ve done so, please delete the old mobile app.
