Muting the audio of others in RingCentral Video mobile

The host or moderator can mute the audio of one or more attendees to prevent them from distracting the meeting. In addition, hosts can decide whether to allow participants to have the ability to mute or unmute themselves. 

Muting the audio of all participants

  1. Tap Participants via the bottom menu bar.

  1. Tap the three-dot icon at the top right.
Participant options
  1. Select and tap one of the following options: 
  • Mute all - allow unmuting: Mutes all participants and allows unmuting.
  • Mute all - block all muting: Mutes all participants and disables unmuting.
  • Unmute all: All participants will be notified to allow moderator to unmute audio. They will have an option to tap Don’t allow or Allow.

Muting the audio of individual attendees

To mute/unmute the audio of individual attendees during a meeting, tap Participants via the bottom menu bar, and then tap the microphone icon at the right of the attendee’s name.
