Enabling end-to-end encryption for RingCentral Video in the RingCentral desktop and web app

End-to-end encryption (E2EE) is a privacy feature that protects your video meeting content by making it accessible only to meeting participants. When you use End-to-end encryption, your data is safe from all third parties, even if the RingCentral cloud is compromised. With End-to-end encryption, you can:
  • Ensure that only your participants can access meeting content.
  • Manage the confidentiality of your meeting’s audio, video, chat, and screen-shares.
  • Protect your meeting contents from all third parties, even service providers.
  • Turn the feature on and off anytime during a meeting.
Any user with a RingCentral account can join meetings protected by End-to-end encryption. However, only users who have paid accounts can initiate E2EE meetings.
